MP gives support to project

MP Calum Miller took time out on Saturday 25th October to pop over to Freeland, see the Chapel space and hear about our plans.

After meeting for a quick coffee in the Yeoman, Mr Miller walked across the road with members of the FCBS Management Committee to examine the building more closely.

Mr Miller said he was extremely supportive of the project, and impressed by the significant community efforts to come together and raise funds. WODC Councillor Lidia Arciszewska was also there, and told Mr Miller about the unique community spirit in Freeland.

A couple of hours later, we were delighted to welcome 10 volunteers from the village to also look around the Chapel and discuss the areas in which they’d like to lend support. Even more want to support but couldn’t come on Saturday, so we’ll be getting in touch with them to arrange another get together.

Lidia is right. For a small visit we have incredible community spirit, connections and skills!
