Well WOW, just WOW. Over 100 people came along to Open Chapel today. Great conversations, lots of advice, and plenty of prodding around the building structure. And we got to a total of £125,470 in pledges!!!!!
But now for an important announcement.
We’ve decided we need to push the target up to £150,000. And here’s why.
Our original target was set before we knew the bid deadline, which we found out this week is 11 July. Also before we knew about some of the renovation costs and (low) availability of funding from local businesses.
The conclusion is we need to keep going and raise more than originally anticipated – but we also have another 10 days to do so.
So watch out for an upcycled thermometer on Monday, some new campaign messaging, and our dash for the line! It’s now or never.
