The response from the village has been incredible with over 200 people getting behind the idea. It’s a powerful reminder of how much this building means to our community.
Right now, we’re working hard behind the scenes on our formal bid to secure the building—which needs to be as competitive as possible while taking into account some hefty refurbishment costs to turn the Chapel into the community hub we want and need. For this reason, we’ll be keeping the final fundraising figure under wraps for a while longer as part of the bid process. This means things will go a bit quiet while we focus on this next critical step.
